Update...Finally

Well, it has been quite a while since we've updated the blog. As I'm sure you can imagine life is a bit hectic with 3 little ones running around. The kids are all doing wonderful these days. Jonah is cruising around along the furniture, and we think he'll be walking on his own very soon. The kids all had a good time on Halloween this year too. We dressed them as Wizard of Oz characters... Makayla was Glinda the Good Witch, Makenna was Dorothy, and Jonah was the Cowardly Lion. The weather was unseasonably warm on Halloween, so the kids did not need to wear coats.

Summer Vacation

We recently got back from our vacation in Florida. We took the auto train from Virginia to Florida, and the twins LOVED it. They were so excited the whole trip and they were so well behaved. We went to Tampa for a few days to visit GG then drove down to West Palm Beach to visit with Derek Sr. and Jr. We took the kids to the pool, the beach, and the zoo. We had a close call with Adam while we were in Palm Beach. He stepped on a piece of broken glass and sustained a very large cut to one of his toes. Luckily the gash wasn't as bad as it originally looked, and he did not need to get stitches. I will get our pictures posted from our trip soon.

Jonah's 6 Month Appt

Jonah had his 6 month doctor's appointment on June 15, 2009. He did really well despite having to get 4 shots. He weighed 19lbs 11oz and was 27 1/4" long. He is in the 70th percentile for both his weight and height. We have to take him back at 9 months, but I don't think he will require any shots at that appointment. Jonah is eating stage 1 foods now and we'll be moving him on to stage 2's with in the next week.

Long Time No See

Sorry we haven't updated in a while. Things have been going great in the Doyle residence lately. Jonah is growing more and more by the minute. We have his 6 month doctor's appointment next week, and I cannot wait to see how much he officially weighs. He is in the same size diapers as the twins and he wears size 9 month clothes. He is rolling from belly to back, and he has stared doing the amy man crawl (if he's trying to get something out of his reach). He is the happiest little baby and his smile will make your day. The twins have been doing great too. They are a lot these days and most of the time they are speaking in phrases. Their latest one of the week is "we're all"... so "we're all going to play outside" or "we're all eating". The last couple of days Makenna has been saying "I do what Kayla doing" or "I do what Jonah doing", and she will process to mimic whatever it is that her siblings are doing. The twins new trick!

We found out in the middle of April that the twins could climb out of their cribs, but hadn't actually witnessed it. The video below shows just how agile these little turkeys are. We removed the crib rail and converted the beds into toddler beds. They are both doing great in their "new" beds.

Jonah Jumperoo Video's

Here are the latest video's of Jonah in his new favorite toy.

Jonah's 4 Month Appt

Jonah went to his 4 month well baby visit on April 17th. He was 17 lbs and 25 1/4" long. He is in the 90 percentile for his weight and 75th percentile for height. The doctors said he was growing perfectly and they gave him 4 vaccinations. Luckily for all of us Jonah didn't have a reaction to his shots.

Jonah's 2 Month Appt

Jonah had his two month check up a couple of weeks ago and he was a whopping 13lbs 13oz! He was in the 95th percentile for his weight and 75th percentile for his length. He is a big boy and is growing perfectly. Unfortunately, he had a difficult night the day he received his 5 shots and was in in a lot of pain. That evening must have been rough for Adam because he had a screaming baby and a crying mommy in his hands.

Jan and Feb Photos

I know everyone had been dying for new pictures, and I apologize for taking so long. Here are the photos from January and February.

We went to Dinner @ Allison and Ray Ray's house tonight. Here is a video of the kids playing ring around the rosie together.
